Motorband was formed in 1986 by Libor „Máca" Matejcik. They very quickly because a firm fixture in the Czech Rock music scene and celebrated several big hits. After a change of personnel involving the return of erstwhile founder drummer Dan „Hafo" Haftstein, the current formation crystalized at the begining of 2008. The fresh young talent added to the old warhorses meant younger blood and provided more fire on the stage: The charismatic
singer Radek Popel, the guitarist Martin Przeczek and the bass player Sláva Safonkin. Motorband's new, 2008 formation has also written completely new song material.
The German producer Jan Nemec is responsible for the new production sound. The completed album appears under the name „Heart of the machine" This new work is significant because of it's rich sound, the powerful guitars and a drum sound that drives the music forwards. This is completed with a vocal performance that will inspire rock fans. Alongside the combined melodic and powerful songs there are also fine ballads.
