What drives a barman to write a musical at fifty? In 2000, Englishman Alex Johnson sat down at his kitchen table just outside of Zurich, and put a pen for the first time to a white sheet of paper. He wrote down his thoughts about life, the many crisis, and his experiences with people of all genre. Nothing special though, but soon these notes turned into skillfully crafted song lyrics, and due to a bet with a renowned Chicago blues musician - no joke! - into a brand-new musical.
Professionals of the Swiss music scene helped to complete an album worth 18 great songs in pop, rock, blues, swing, classic, and even rap, in summer 2008.
May 1st, 2009, STORM the Musical celebrated world premiere in Zurich, gaining considerable attention - a story about strangers taking rescue in a city bar, while a raging storm hits the town, and gets them to ride the roller coaster of modern life with each other.
The meanwhile 22 songs in many of today's styles have each for itself the potential to reach a wide audience. Volume up, enjoy the tunes!
