Aguirres own repertoire, with himself on piano, is presented under the title Classical Music Meets Tango and is characterized by the fusion of tango and chamber music. His works display a personal and renewing style of composition, which is based on classical structures that are united with the character of tango.

Aguirre is always accompanied by renowned flute player Luis Rocco, to whom he has established a close connection during a very long and productive time of artistic cooperation. Rocco is a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires since 1985. Since 1986, he holds the position of the first flute player (piccolo and flute).

Buenos Aires en Llamas

Buenos Aires en Llamas is a homage to the direct participation of the Argentine people in the establishment of democracy.
It is inspired by the Cooking-Pot Revolution, which took place in Argentina in December 2001 as a result of the instable economic situation and the immoral behavior of the politicians. This work expresses the populations feelings of suffering and of hope during that time. The emotional roller-coaster of anxiety, anger, weakness, courage and apocalyptic mood on the side of the population can be found here in audible pictures.
